The Philippine Coast Guard lifted the suspension of passenger motorbanca activities in the Iloilo-Guimaras Strait, where 31 individuals died previously this month after three wooden-hulled boats sank, an official said Tuesday.   Trips are expected to resume early Tuesday after the 10-day suspension, but the weather should be reasonable and only 75% of their passenger ability should be carried by ships.   Passengers are also needed to wear life jackets,


The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) purchased fresh disaster response assets aimed at enhancing the agency’s maritime safety, patrol and safety activities.
