Isko Moreno defends himself from the ‘ anti-poor ‘ tag

Isko Moreno

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, whose drive to bring order back to the town received praise from multiple industries, denied on Thursday that he was anti-poor.

Moreno defined his management as a balancing act, emphasizing that he does not derive pleasure from arresting violators.

Moreno, a former scavenger, once again defended his campaign to rid vendors ‘ roads and sidewalks so that they could be used by pedestrians and cars.

Moreno said what he’s doing is nothing unique as he’s just performing a sitting mayor’s “ordinary” tasks.
