Isko is following Duterte, instructions to withdraw Mayor’s licenses for gaming outlets

Isko Moreno Domagoso follows President Rodrigo Duterte’s marching instructions to shut down huge corruption gaming stores operated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Moreno said that he ordered the business license office of the City of Manila to cancel company licenses and permits from the mayor for all lotto, small town lottery and other gaming operations under the Manila PCSO.

In accordance with this domestic policy, I order Manila’s business license office to immediately withdraw all lotto, STL and other gaming operations under the PCSO’s company licenses and mayor’s licenses.

This order will stay until the fresh domestic policy on lotto, STL and other PCSO operations is in effect.

He added that the town government will also withdraw company and mayor’s licenses for internet sabong (cockfight) operations in Manila if it is proved that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation operates without franchises.

Police have shut down a total of 21,173 lottery shops and gaming outlets in the nation Sunday after President Duterte ordered the suspension of activities of all gaming systems provided by PCSO such as Lotto, Peryahan ng Bayan, Small Town Lottery (STL), and Keno due to huge corruption.
