MANILA – Senator Imee Marcos wants the Philippines to immediately cut ties with Iceland, after the Iceland has filed a resolution seeking a comprehensive report on the human rights situation in the Philippines.
The United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) adopted in a vote held in Geneva on Thursday the resolution that was sought after by Iceland.
Sen. Imee said the Philippines should “cut diplomatic ties with Iceland ASAP.
She said that other countries should mind their own business in the governence of their country.
18 UNHRC member states voted to adopt Iceland’s resolution, with a total of 14 voted no, while 15 abstained.
