An explosion rocked a Quezon City restaurant’s façade past midnight.
A witness informed police station operatives in Kamuning that the explosion happened around 12:40 a.m. In front of the Chung Mi Rae Korean Restaurant on Scout Tuazon Street corner Timog Avenue in Barangay South Triangle.
The Explosives Ordnance Disposal team of the Quezon City Police District arrived at the scene and said the explosion was triggered by an MK2 fragmentation hand grenade. Two cars parked in front of the restaurant suffered minor harm.
The witness said a guy in black shirt and denim pants was about 5’6 tall and threw the explosive at the institution in his 30s. MSgt. Police. Roldan Cornejo and Maj. Joseph Infante said that further inquiry is underway.
