Photo-sharing app Instagram announced that they are conducting a significant experiment that will conceal the amount of likes and video opinions from its users.
The Facebook-owned social media app posted that they are running the experiment on their customers from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand. The Philippines are not included in the exam.
Instagram said that they want the poeple to focus on the photos and videos they share, not how many likes they get.
They can still see their own likes by tapping on the list of people who’ve liked it, but their friends will not be able to see how many likes the post has received.
They’re still looking forward to learning how this shift could help the experience of all.
